Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

Here's another supermarket one...I may have said this a few months ago already...trolley parkers! The folks who can't push a trolley those extra 5 metres to the trolley park, so abandon them loose in the car park to dent other cars! Agh! Lazy lazy! And the people who park right next to me when I've deliberately parked in the overflow to the overflow right at the back, and there are no other cars in sight! Are they just lonely??!! :-)

This one annoys me too, and also when the trolley parks are overflowing just because the trolleys are shoved in there randomly. Whenever I put a trolley in there I take an extra second just to push a few trolleys together lol.

Endless accidents on the m5 today, and seemingly getting caught up behind all of them

Lack of transit crew cabs for sale within my price range and mileage amount.

...might have to go vauxhall at this rate :(

Might as well chop your manhood off along with your fingers too!

Have to stick with the Focus then, Ian :)

Can't have you jumping ship to a Vauxhall now can we :P

hahah, well if it makes you feel any better all the vauxhall vans and renault vans look alike, so I can call it an honorary renault

But your still driving a vauxhall.... Buy the Renault lpl

I think driving a French vehicle is marginally worse than driving a Vauxhall

I would rather drive a burnt out French car than a vauxhall. Top gear last broadcast episode, I would rather than the pug jeremy had and have it on fire every time I turn the key than drive a new vauxhall

French cars are awesome! So quirky and a little different to other cars on the road. I'm currently detailing my mums Peugeot 207.

TIDL, Alton Towers, went on Sunday, queues were remarkably short 30mins tops, however every pikey within the UK was there, literally full of the vile creatures, police were everywhere inside. Joke.

After my experiences with two different French cars (both of which spent more time in the garage than on the road), I would never even TOUCH a French car again.

Give me a Vauxhall anyday.

Stop it with the sarcasm! it's contagious.... :P

I'll prove you wrong dammit!

I used to drive one of those damn Clios... 12 years old and had done 85K when I PX'd it for my Fiesta... damn thing broke down 3 times in the space of 2 weeks....first an engine sensor, then an immobiliser fault.. then the starter motor.....

It did accelerate pretty well though... i'll give it that.

By comparison my Fiesta is like driving a brand new car.

We had the same with Audis, one was rejected at 12 months old and the other caught fire at 3 years old. They both had continuous problems and were awful cars anyway. We will never ever have a German ar again.

French, British and Italian cars FTW!

French and Italian (cough cough Alfa Romeo) cars are usually the worst in terms of reliability. Consumer reliability surveys and insurance figures usually tend to agree.

If you want reliability, then some Fords are extremely reliable (possibly Mk2 Focus - manufactured in Germany!), and some are even downright indestructible (e.g. Crown Victoria). Overall, Japanese cars are the leader in terms of reliability, and Korean cars are closing the gap fast.

My mum had an Alfa Romeo 147 for 7 years and it didn't break down once, was a great little car and we regretted selling it to get the Audi! The little Peugeot she has now not needed a new boot light in the year we've had it, I'd say they were pretty reliable.

Most cars broken down at the side of the road are normally German.

Got to admit the Kia's with their 10 year warranty is fairly appealing...

10?? Have they increased from 7 years? Kia's seem a little boring to me, but the last one I borrowed drove pretty darn good, and its hard to argue with a warranty that long.

Yet another thing I don't like.

My neighbours.

Before I begin ranting, I know you can park wherever it is safe and legal to do so, and this fact goes both ways. However, my neighbours (45ish woman who drives a Toyata, her 23 year old son who has a works van and his blonde bint of a girlfriend who drives a Megane stays every weekend), are taking the mick. At weekends they have 3 cars parked outside, bearing in mind we live in terraces on a main road. As you can see from the picture, they like to leave plenty of room for no reason (Even just a few inches too little to fit my Focus in). When I can finally park my car in front of my house, I make sure I'm directly in front and in between my gate post and the end of my wall, but she sits outside blasting her horn until I move my car.

I've tried explaining that I can't park round the corner as it's classed as a different road, my insurance won't cover it and that her and her son could easily leave my enough room to park but nothing gets done. I'm very close to getting the squad together and bouncing their cars out of the way. Either that or a trolley jack and 2 tea trays.

Lawbreakers - on or off the road . . .

Been there done that and enjoyed it. Had a kid ceed for a year and it was a fantastic contender to the focus. Loved it, but mileage and it being petrol, depreciation and need for more space meant I ended up selling it too soon. Had I got a diesel estate I would have had it to today.

21st Century parenting skills.

Kids playing in the road while mothers sun their backs whilst holding a baby 'in the road'!!.
You just know if you had to avoid a kid and beep your horn, they would kick off blaming 'you' for being on the road.
Worst part, there is a Park 300 Meters away, lazy f'ers.

Nothing a can of expanding cavity foam in the exhaust won't cure. ;)

(Not that I condone this type of criminal damage of course) :d
