I don't like putting milk into the wrong mug of tea,

A "senior moment" wink.png?

I get quite a few of those. Getting a spoon out of the drawer to spread the butter, then later that day, a knife out to make the coffee. When in auto-pilot, my brain seems one step behind (or is it aheadbiggrin.png)

I once poured orange juice into the marmalade jar, instead of the glass standing next to it. ohmy.png

Indeed, in the same vane, I once threw a mug in the recycling bin and put the empty milk container in the dishwasher.

And another occasion, I came into the kitchen with some socks for the washing machine; that i was about to put on; and a mug and plate for the dishwasher.  Which I didn't notice until the washing machine was going:ohmy:, and then I saw a mug and a towel going round closely followed by a pillowcase and a plate.

i often try to micro wave stuff in the fridge. doesnt work, still cold

Ahh, that is good news (wrong thread, really!). It is not just me then.laugh.png

I don't like that the paperwork I wrongly thought would take no more than a couple of hours: I'm less than a third of way through:sad:

I don't like having to get my toolkit out to open a bottle of wine! They don't make corkscrews like they used to...

Been there, done that!!!

Get one of these instead

Or buy wine with a screwtop!!!

I don't like that my printer software doesn't inform me when there's no paper in either drawer.

You only find out when the documents you've sent to print, are pending for far too long!  Admittedly in my set up, it's merely turning 180° in the chair, where I can see the LCD with "Put paper in drawer1 and/or drawer2" displayed.

Having said I've configured it as a standalone, on USB connected to my KVM, rather than as a fully networked printer.  There are far more things you can see and do with the software, when it's fully networked.  So, perhaps if I networked it, I would know when it's out of paper:mellow:

I have exactly the same corkscrew (Boots: if I recall correctly), and mine does that too:sad:, nearly every time:unsure:

Somewhere in the house i have a better one, which doesn't:smile:

I don't like having the worst panic attack for about a year yesterday, almost a year to the day since the last one of that magnitude and was just yards away from the same place as well.  There were quite a few factors and I had felt it building over a couple of days but thought I could keep it controlled just to visit my Nan as she was relying on my help yesterday.  That was until a series of bad events occurred which just pushed it further and further until it finally came out as a huge panic attack.  In fact it's more than a don't like.  I absolutely hate losing control of myself like that.  And of course the whole scenario is still going round my head today.  Urgh.

We buy £4 bottles from Lidl, screwtop, nothing wrong with it. Even better with the daughters 10% staff discount

I buy my wine from Lidl as well, costs £3.79 and has a cork!  Cheap but actually tastes better than a lot of £10 bottles.

Mrs Turvey reminds me we've had the Lidl Pinot Grigio(with a cork)for £3.79, quite nice it was too!

And a £10 bottle of wine is FAR too posh for this household to try

I don't like dropping several pieces of chorizo on my way from the cutting board to the pan::sad: Brandy however, thought it was great, she was hoping for a repeat performance with the bacon and the eggs:laugh:

I don't like finding out that the car I bought from the forecourt of a dealership 6 years ago is a Cat D. Only found out when trying to get it valued at the local Ford dealership I'm getting my new Fiesta from, with them saying they can only give me £100 for it. Been back to the place I got it from, who said it shouldn't have been able to be sold off the forecourt, should have gone to auction. Now waiting to see what their manager says when he's back on monday. Considering it means that my insurance probably wouldn't have paid out on any claims, if I'd had to make any, with me not telling them (as I didn't know), I've been very lucky. Needless to say I'm pretty annoyed. Yes I probably should have paid for checks myself, but I naively trusted the checks that they said they'd done.

I don't like that we live in a house the father in law brought, I want my own house.  I also don't like that we want another kid but not really in the position to do so, also don't like that a house on the same estate as my friend is up for sale for under £300,000(that's my limit that we could afford, if we could actually get a mortgage) and it comes with a double garage.  Also don't like that we can't get a mortgage.

I don't like returning home to find that the morons at Yodel have delivered my package of 31 vintage Roy Orbison cassette tapes to the blue recycling bin, on the day it was full and ready for collection!!  How stupid can you get!?

So now I have no cassettes, and am down almost £40 that I paid for them.  Hopefully the eBay seller can sort it out at his end and refund me.  More irritating than the loss of money however, is the fact that they were 30+ year old cassettes which were (for some) so rare that I'll never get my hands on them again.

FECKING HELL!!!

There always has to be something to spoil my day.  Thank God for red wine, that's all I can say...

How stupid can you get seriously?  Although our experiences of Yodel are safe places.... Stuff up the drain clearly visible by the front door & put under the mat outside the front door lol Oh and UPS brought a lush package to the farm & chucked it over the farm gate that no one goes through(all overgrown with nettles etc) and then went and posted a delivery note through the front door to say they couldn't deliver it.  It was a xmas present and we didn't discover it until mid January, obviously we'd complained before as it wasn't at the DO and we couldn't find so had already been given a freebee but when we rang to say we'd discovered it & it was ruined they refunded us lol

What an absolute f****** w******!!!!!

Don't suppose you could get in contact with the recycling company/council to see if they were rescued before it was too late?

Yodel seem to get really bad press with regards to bad deliveries, are the drivers on a 'Paid By Parcel' contract by any chance? Thankfully we don't have too much bother with that up here as we don't have Yodel etc up here! There are 3 or 4 shipping companies that get subcontracted to deliver for Yodel etc and the boys that work for them are all local and usually know which neighbours are good for leaving parcels at etc

I used to work on the Marks & Spencer contract at work (who use Yodel for the majority of standard UK deliveries) and you wouldn't believe the amount of complaints that came in because of them.  It's ridiculous, but companies still use them because they are cheap!!

Was it this bundle? If I see any of these on my travels/charity shop trawls etc I'll grab 'em for ya

It was indeed, thanks Kevin!  It's just so frustrating that they literally ended up in the bin, because of some moron...  The seller is equally disappointed/upset/angry and will make sure the matter gets resolved in terms of a refund etc, which is something at least.

The irritating thing is that around the back of the house there is a defunct coal bunker which every other courier uses to leave parcels, but no - this idiot had to choose a full bin on BIN-DAY!  Give me strength...

It's always worrying when you see your seller has sent by Yodel.  You never know what state it's going to arrive in, whether or not you will  ever see it, or whether you'll have to search the entire garden/neighbourhood because the courier has written on your note "It's in a bush".  Which of my at least 20 bushes would that be? Does that include the hedges? I havealso  found a Yodel parcel dropped over the gate with no card in letterbox to say it was there:sad:

That worked down here for woman whose wedding ring fell off whilst she was putting leaves into her garden waste bin on collection day.  She didn't notice it was was missing until after the bin had been emptied.  She phoned the council and explained what had happened.  They worked which truck it would have come in on, and where that load would be roughly at the depot.  They put together a search party, some with metal detectors and found it some six hours later.

I'm glad to hear that it isn't just me who they seem to have a vendetta against...

I don't like this!!

2016-10-11.png

It went down around midnight last night, so I left it and it was still down this morning.  After doing the usual unplugging and replugging of the wires and restarting the router, I decided to use my mobile phone's WiFi to check for outages on the Sky website, and what a surprise - they've screwed up and cut everybody in my area off!!

Great...
