Things I Don't Like

Officially the largest carpark in Europe.

You've obviously never been on the M62 between Leeds and Manchester there's a 'police incident' on here every day.

Never usually have need to go higher than London/Essex/Bristol etc.

The motorway/road with the highest concentration of dimwits in the country.

No that would be Nunnery Way in Worcester. I've nearly been hit on that road far too many times to count, including once by a driving instructor.

Ohh...I dunno...the M6 has more than its fair share!!

The M55 is generally quite good - as is the M180...most of the time

M602 is my personal favourite

Autobahn is my personal davpurite

Never been on it, but a motorway that allows speed and never seems to have issues, compared to our ticket distributing car park motorways...

Only sections of it are unrestricted unfortunately.

Even them much better lol

I think most things are!

People are lucky that here in the US the roads are mainly uncongested (except near LA) and they so enormous! Our roads are tiny by comparison.

What amazes me about the US is that they have huge roads, lower speed limits and still have 50 car pile ups....

I remember watching a documentary on the Autobahn years ago. When asked what they thought about the risk of serious injury or death on the unrestricted sections, the reply was basically "if you're going to do it, do it properly!" I can see where they were coming from - better dead than having life changing injuries which will impact on so many people.

Harsh, yes, cold, yes, stereotypical German? Ohh yes lol

Hate being stuck behind someone going down the slip road to join a motorway only they don't know that there supposed to match the speed of the cars on the motorway and they still doing 60kph down so forcing you to join the motorway a bit earlier then usual just to overtake

I swear some people are afraid that if they push the throttle more than 25%, their engine will explode.

Ahhh! Totally agree with the above 2, someone was pootling up the slip road in an almost brand new range rover whilst I was in a 9 year old van! Yelled my head off about it! If the bimbo halfwit wants to get herself wiped out in her range rover then by all means go ahead, but don't take me and the rest behind me with her because she thinks trundling up a slip road doing 30 is acceptable...

Did an early overtake and as usual about 20 seconds later she went past at about 90mph!

Oh just to add, it was 90 in the middle lane, where she remained regardless of traffic in the left lane, until I lost sight......

Removed.

I despise brand new rr's. It's not a vendetta against people with money to buy them, it's simply the fact that for 95% of rr owners it's simply a pathetic status symbol. They're offroad vehicles and the majority never see a splodge of mud. They don't get the nickname Chelsea tractors for nothing! They have obscenely large engines, normally driven by narcissists who are terrified to tuck in on tight roads in case their offroad vehicle picks up some mud or brushes a hedge! Not to mention the mums that use them as their school run vehicles to pick up their 1 child...

Apologies for any offence, but I don't like them!

And again, the comment above regarding the disregard for speed limits is about as common as BMW drivers inability to buy a car with working indicators!

'' over 90 '' ? ?

Is he unaware that excess speed often kills people ?

Haha no offence taken! If I'm honest I don't like a few of them too. It's just a shame some with their 30" drug dealer wheels make them look so tacky. That's why we went for dark blue, silver alloys and Ivory interior, to keep the car classy, as it should be.

And I think you'll find most RR's have 3 litre twin turbo Diesel engines...I wouldn't say that was "obscenely large". You won't like that we are looking into getting a supercharged one then!

It's also been off road a few times, going through fields etc. one of the reasons we bought the Defender is to stop the RR getting so dirty! Plus now we have a proper Land Rover in the family. ;)

What, on a nearly empty motorway in the dry? Generally we are overtaken by X5s doing 100+ and dad sticks to 80 most of the time on the motorway.

Doesn't mean I'll speed though, but I can't control his driving habits.

My my, there was me believing the speed limit on motorways is 70 m.p.h. - even if it's '' dry and empty ''

Irresponsible & iIlegal & antisocial.

Unfortunately not much I can do about it. Don't blame me!

You'll be pleased to know my mum stays within the limits (generally) in her little 1.4 Peugeot.

Au contraire . . you are perfectly entitled to request that he drives within the law & by doing so, doesn't put his, yours & other peoples lives at risk by disregarding speed limits.

You've kind of proved my point also... 'we bought a land-rover to stop the rr going offroad'... Well then, time to flog the rr and get a normal vehicle then....

Over 3 litres is obscenely large this day and age when you consider the need for the vehicle is 0.... When you take into account environment, congestion, rtc's, all adds up to solo mindedness when it comes to rr's.

I'll hop out of this now as I don't really want to argue with yourself (I've already said my piece). As you yourself stated, it's not your vehicle etc.

I kind of agree with what is being said about RRs, they do seem very big and pointless sometimes when they are only being used to get one person from A to B. They should try something like this instead:

elio_driving.jpg

Is it just me or are 98% of Audi drivers afraid to be more than 6 feet away from your bumper at motorway speed?

And aren't all BMWs driven by !Removed!?
