Fiesta St3 With Mp215.

Featured Replies

Standard TT's are slower than the ST, much slower in fact, 0-60 is 7secs so nothing in it but after like 60MPH the ST has it easily.

this is for the ones up to 64 plates, single twin pipe exhaust 2.0TFSI, the TDI's are crappy too. very heavy for such a small car.

Probably feel faster due to being much lower etc

  • Oh and as for comparing top end speed and power against others for me is pointless. I brought my fiesta cuz I like how it looks I love the Orange colour, and more importantly how it handled! And no

  • If your insurers still use ABI codes for vehicles then the code for the ST3 215 upgrade is 18593399

  • ^ Yes I agree if you're only after more power then MP215 isn't very good value. As a whole package though, with improved sound, warranty and even the reputation Mountune have is worth paying for. Any

Yeah, the older one prior was pants, drove like a 1.2 under 5k RPM and a pig on fuel. I would of had one tbh over the ST but there was none going 2nd hand at the time for under 19K and didn't fancy stumping up 22,495 ( plus £1250 for yellow paint ) for a new one and then having to wait 12 weeks for it to arrive damaged and get through any teething problems, it doesn't warrant being like 20% more expensive, it's not that much better. ST does win for seating and ergonomic though, they are now similar priced, can get a 13 plate for £12k now, quite tempting if I actually needed 3 cars lol,

One thing the ST needed though was that !Removed! arm rest to be 1. Comfortable and not solid plastic, 2. actually be usable and 6inches too far back, that proper bugged the crap out of.

I would love to see Seitechs one chucking out 610BHP must be nuts, you could even buy that car 2nd hand and buy the pack for under £30K and probably destroy most cars on the road that cost under like 100K lol

The Sitech ST was running about 375, the 610bhp kit you refer to is a focus RS.

You could probably pick up the sitech fiesta quite cheap as it went up in flames a outlet of months ago.

The Clio is much more fun to drive, just costs £22.5k for a skinned and Nav'd model, too much money for a Renault. Most people chucking that money at a hatchback would have gone for a JCW or S1.

Anyway, done some Math.

For 300BHP properly done.

CAF £199

Airtec Cooler £350

Hoses £150

Garrett Hybrid Turbo £950 for appropriate fan sizes ( this matter more than just the PSI fig )

Bespoke mapping session £500, can't run a hybrid on a pony Mountune or Superchips map, just won't be good.

Full Turbo Back system and Sports Cat £1400.

DIY is relatively easy to do if you have the tools, just need to fit it all and take to someone to custom map it.

For around £4k ish and buying the car new you should have something relatively on par with a 135M or S3 / Golf R etc with about a 6k saving, 300BHP and whatever torque figure it is chucking out should be well under 6secs and pull through 5th and 6th with ease, anymore you'd be looking at needing Forged internals and having the issue with rebuilds every now and then if using daily as they hate cold starts.

Quite good ecomony when comparing it to ze germans produkt.

You'd probably need a manifold to get 300bhp, most hybrid setup are around the 270-280bhp mark.

Of course the Mountune or bluefin stage 1 maps won't be good for a hybrid setup they were never developed for it unlike the REVO stage 3 or max'do stage 3, you do come out with some rubbish.
