Fiesta St + Mp215 + What Else?

Nice, glad you're enjoying it and hopefully you won't have any knocking issues :). I'll mention the handbrake cables to them. Where did you go to have it fitted?

And I didn't bother keeping the old exhaust, thought it wouldn't be worth the hassle of selling it.

  • The big hose on top is the induction hose, you can't really see the boost pipes from above.

  • It won't increase power by more then a couple hp if any with the cat in place. But even with a sports cat or decat you won't see hp increases without a remap after fitting. The turbo will spool quick

  • Got it done yesterday and it's amazing as I expected :) I think it sounds best at low revs when you can actually hear it over the road noise. It's not rediculously loud and that's a good thing, espec

Mountune asked if I wanted it back, I said no so it was skipped.

I just hate throwing things away;) I may end up taking it all to the local 'Tip', have to wait and see.

I had it fitted at a 'local' garage called 'Runway Autos' (about 12 miles from me, I live in the middle of nowhere;)

They did my Mountune Alloy Intercooler & Charge Pipe Upgrades too and I was very happy with the costs and work they did on that, so made sense to use them again.

They come very highly rated compared to the other garages in Wales, top 5 out of a couple of hundred I think it was. Plus, being somewhat local means I can take it back to them if there are any issues. Also, the chief-mechanic who works there cut his teeth working for Ford for 10+years, and has been in the game for 40 years, that sort of experience is hard to find!

In all honesty, I initially wanted all the mods to be done by my local Ford Dealership, to keep it all 'in-house', but they're a bunch of useless !Removed! haha. It takes ages to get your car booked in with them & the labour costs are ridiculous.

I'll be using Runway Autos for the foreseeable future.

In hindsight I should have just bought the exhaust from Stoneacre and had it fitted at the local dealer, but they might be fitting a new exhaust next in case this one has a manufacturing flaw or something, so if that's the case then I've just been unlucky to get the only dodgy one lol.

From your photos it looks like your exhaust doesn't stick out as far as mine but it's hard to tell. Do you think you could take a photo from the side so I can compare to mine?

Cheers, yeah it doesn't stick out at all whereas mine comes out clear from the diffuser. It's not as bad after they readjusted it but if yours is like that and doesn't knock then maybe that's a clue as to what they did wrong with mine. Just let me know if you hear any knocking, and if not I'll show these photos to them ;)

Could well be man, I'll keep a keen ear out for any knocking;)

Got a photo of yours Phil?

It doesn't stick out as much as I thought, but it did before they readjusted it

Yours is the same as mine by the looks of those.. In fact I'd say mine comes out more then that.

Yours looks pretty close to how mine is Phil. I think slight changes in camera angles can be deceiving;)

^ Exactly, and that just makes me think it's more likely to be a problem with the exhaust than the fitting. I'll give Stoneacre a call tomorrow if I don't hear from them by then and hopefully get this sorted.

Just had another spin round some lovely winding country lanes, single track for a lot of it, but big hedges either side really let you hear the exhaust sound, especially with both windows down. I purposefully came the long way home, not only because the roads are great, but also because in some sections they are mega bumpy. As far as I could hear, no knocking. Fingers crossed for the future.

There's a lovely rich & sharp sounding tone after hard acceleration; coming off the throttle.

It could just be my imagination, but it feels like the delivery of power is smoother overall now. When I had the car from new, in stock spec, there was a slight kind of roughness or judder under hard acceleration, nonexistent now. It also seems like the slight lag I felt (mainly in 2nd gear, stop-start traffic) after the Intercooler and charge pipe upgrade has gone, but perhaps that is because I have just got used to 'driving around it'. It would seem that all the Mountune upgrades are working in unison. I would love to keep adding more, but I like having my warranty in tact!

I can't wait to go out again;)

Wish I would stop seeing this post getting so jelly of these exhausts!

Any chance you could upload a video of them?

Cause I'll probably just have to order one now!

Not the greatest representation of how it sounds in the 'real world', but you get the general idea.

^ I wholeheartedly recommend it;)

Gives the ST that extra bit of 'presence' that it deserves.

I've done about 200 miles since having it fitted, most of which have been done with windows-down. The 'smile-factor' has increased exponentially, especially in and around towns, where the sound bounces back at you. I would really like to get one of those Go-Pro cameras and do some proper filming of the best drives around these parts. Might have to put one on my Christmas list;)

Gets better too after 1k miles the popping on over run increases.

Yeah I think I'm just going to order it as then that's the back end of mine complete!

Been cheeky and emailed mountune to see if they can match the price of JW racing as I've been quoted £434.40 with postage from them

Think my car is complete, only the down pipe and mr230 map left to get lol.. Not interested in making it lower it or short shifter etc
