hey buddy. i bought the whole rear bumper off the facebook buy and sell page

https://www.facebook.com/groups/802621073105584/

this cost me 110 delivered. i sold the spats off it as i didnt need them, which made me £20

i then took the diffuser to my local very good body shop (pearl paint i wanted it to be perfect first time)

this cost 80 quid

so all in it was 170 and the honeycomb plastics are marked in places. you can buy both parts straight from ford for about the same as i paid for my second hand bits. then the diffuser will need painting. or if you have a more standard colour, say white. it would be cheaper to paint, more around 50 quid or you could buy a used one for about 100 quid and bang it straight on.

nice one thanks, ill look at doing this in the new year when iv got the funds

theres a white one for sale atm for £60/70 lol

I found that 2 aerosol cans and a tad of patience does a very good job at a fraction of the price of a spray shop.

yh i saw it im dying lol, havnt got the money for a couple months lol i have 'responsibilities'  im sure there will be another one when the time comes. fingers crossed

karl, normally id have gone down that route tbh (not that i have a lot of paitence)
however i wouldnt have been able to do my pearl blue, and as the car is fairly new i didnt want any botched diy jobs on it

did these the other day, all 4 done and back on in 3 hours, one tin of hammerite :)

Could you please tell me the easiest way to fit the 'S' badge? I've just got a blue one for my Mk7 Fiesta ZS and I'm wondering how you get the nut tight enough on the back with having no way to get your arms up or down the back of the grill. Wouldn't want it to come loose, I'm thinking Loctite on the screwed bar into the 'S' part so it won't fall off on that front. Any help would be much appreciated :) Cheers!

simple to do i got the bolt where i wanted it behind the honeycomb and had two fingers or one (cant remember) holding it on with the other hand i then screwed mine onto the bolt till it was tight, no glue or anything was used and iv had mine close to 4-5 months its been through jet washes and had a sponge over it to clean it and stayed where it is.

Remove the grill, It's only held on by locking tabs,

Such a nice car :O

Thanks @AlexBartlam and @karl46. I will have a go over the weekend :D

sorry guys ive been neglecting the site, as ive had other stuff going on

thank you @OPLxx i love it, not looking quite this clean at the moment, due to weather/work/some ***** nicking my jetwash

the s badge, i find its easiest to make it up, poke i through then tighten the S from the front, takes a bit of trial and error to make it straight, but easier than taking things apart

Didn't know you had a project car. That green anniversary fiesta is catching my eye 🤣

the fiesta is more the family wagon, the proton is my daily and my toy.

took it pod last month. met some old proton friends and took it down the strip. a tidy 19.18 🙂

plan is to work on the chassis and do some gymkhana track days with it, then swap the engine to something a bit quicker

as for the toy, that will go in the garage and finally get its engine swap and some other bits done to it1974032849_front1.thumb.jpg.5b3dcf7e6eb302267d35c9afceb8b802.jpg

so been a while since i was here. the fiesta suffered from the lovely wet belt problem. and the oil pump had had enough. so the car went back to standard and got swapped for a kia picanto. needed a cheap runaround while in the process of buying a house. this will be kept for the mrs. and i plan on getting a mk4 focus estate st line x 182 once the house move is done
so for now, the last few pics i got of the car before it went standard
