recall of 1.5 diesel / camshaft sprocket

today i had a notification on my phone from " Ford Pass ".when i looked at it it stated that there was a recall on my car for a " camshaft sprocket" issue with a field service action code of "16B42"

i phoned my local ford dealer and booked the car in.

has anyone else had experience of this ?

      Mine also recalled. I'll let you guys know what's involved when I speak to my Ford dealer in about 20 minutes. Edit: It's a 4 hour job to complete. Hello little fiesta for a day or two.

    Is it a mk3.5 focus?  I have a 1.5TDCi and haven't got any notification through Ford Pass.  Had a look on etis but the service section just says (access to Gooasis (196)) in red?

    Better get mine checked... oh wait ETIS is currently offline. Dealer said he has a quiet week ahead and could look at my multiple issues and keep him busy. Maybe not!

    The camshaft sprocket, presumably, is prone to failure.  This would result in the engine going bang bikini atoll style.

    I spoke with ford today and have mine booked in for new week. They said it should be done the same day. Just a bit of information people may find useful.
