2016 Fiesta Mk7 key programming in keyless car

Hi all

I unwisely sent one of the remote key fobs (three buttons, key inside but not fold out) for my 2016 Fiesta Titanium for a spin in a washer and completely broke it. Ford quoted me £200+ for a new one so I went to Timpsons who told me they could not 'get through the car's security' and were unable to help. They did, however, give me the key they'd ordered as a goodwill gesture. I'm now left with one working fob and one unprogrammed one.

Does anyone have any recommendations for programmers who are not hugely expensive or a Plan B I could use. My car has keyless entry and a start stop button so I can't insert the key anywhere inside.

i would also like to know the answer to this. the keys can be purchased off eBay from £30 but need to be programmed ford charging hundreds of £ for this is just blatant profiteering

I have a similar issue as the OP here is a solution.

It is a piece of software that gives you dealer level diagnosis and key programming ( read the forum for more info on that topic) 

The software is free all you need is ELM 327 USB TO diagnostic plug lead

I have used the above lead on my windows 10 laptop and it works as it should if you have windows 7 you may need to look about for a driver.

Use forscan as above to enter the IDS in the ECU, I think you will need to wipe all keys and start afresh by resetting the codes on both keys the old and the new

It's a case of using forscan to generate a new incode to reprogram the keys

You need to find a local car thief:
