Dead Battery

hi can anyone help me i left my park lights on over night on my 03 mondeo diesel and my battery is totally dead,

ive tried jump starting it with another diesel with no luck is there any reason why it wont jump start???

jump starting a dead battery is not advised on the mondeo as the smart charge system could chuck up to 18 volts into the cars electronics causing damage, charge the battery up with a charger and then see if the car will start.
