troy45
These bulbs created a error in my car. When ever I put the car in reverse the radio would stop, then back in first and radio would work again. Had to put the standard bulb back in. :( Anyone else had this issue ? Same happens with mine but only on FM, took me a while to notice as the main station I listen to used to be on DAB. All I can think of is that the LED causes some sort of interference on the FM wave bands - could always prove the theory out powering up the bulb remotely from the car's wiring and see if the radio still plays up. Isn't a big issue for me considering how long you spend reversing.
bry0586
I didnt have a problem at all troy. Went to my local parts place. Changed both at same time. Cost £1.50 Sent from my GT-I8190N using Ford OC mobile app
Lenny
I didnt have a problem at all troy. Went to my local parts place. Changed both at same time. Cost £1.50 Sent from my GT-I8190N using Ford OC mobile app the bulb in standard tail unit is a dual filament off set pin bulb serving stop&Tail signals, The bulb troy is refering to is a single filament off set pin bulb serving as a brake light only, Because his units are led prism tail lights as saw on ST3 and RS focus. The single filament offset pin bulb is a difficult find.

There have been reports from members whom purchased cree bulbs from China on eBay only to be disappointed the don't illuminate at all or low quality light. I would like to attempt to prevent further disappointment by saying: Alltronix are a UK based stockiest of genuine cree bulbs from America not replicas from China, Here's the first model: http://www.alltronix.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=275 Here's the latest model: http://www.alltronix.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=517&zenid=5ks0ka90l21m05jftihl4kmjk0 Here's the rear fog: http://www.alltronix.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=
troy45
Just to update one of the posts I must have made a while ago on here - the bulbs I got before these were actually pukka CREE bulbs. I'd thought they were polarity dependent but that was actually for the first type of bulbs I originally used for the mod before I was aware of the CREE versions. They were the usual multiple LED lamps similar to interior footwell lamps etc.

The model i have fitted in the guide is cree Q5 there is a new model better and brighter than the Q5 called Q7 but they Retail at £22.00 each the Genuine Cree bulbs are not the cheapest but they do work and never die, mine are fitted six years now without fail and I reverse in to my driveway atleast twice per day. You can purchase cheap replicas on ebay but they don't function correctly and some don't function atall according to customers feedback. Here's a link to the genuine model I have fitted in guide: http://www.alltronix.co.uk/white-382-1156-5w-cree-q5-reverse-bulb-ba15s-6000k/

I thought it will take weeks to get an answer in an ancient thread. :D Thanks very much mate. So good to meet this kind of nice people. Its so rare, helping each other for free. Isnt it a B15 type bulb? i thought its not fittabble. i dont want chinese craps, but i felle 20+ pounds a bit more. This 7pounds is perfect if fits. Edit: Ouuu! I think mixed up the things P21w BA-15s ... so a P21w bulb is (means) same as a BA-15s mixed up the numbers... :D Instantly order so many of them. 7pounds is great! :)

shiwarrior
lol , i could put that on my rear number plate and link it to the reverse light and use that for reversing instead lol but nah, it would look a little odd ! lol but my bulbs are : Reverse Light - 382 Single Contact I like ring bulbs, i use the LED ones for my sidelights, last a long time so im wondering if these would fit my car "revering" light https://www.amazon.co.uk/Premium-Rw380Led-6000K-Bay15D-Bayonet/dp/B06XRGV4XQ/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=ring+p21+led&qid=1563648250&s=automotive&sr=1-

So a stop light replacement for a P21 Ba15s would do nicely https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ring-rw382dled-Lamp-P21-7000/dp/B074DW3LLP/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=ring+p21+led&qid=1563649511&s=automotive&sr=1-3

No the reverse lights are single filament bulbs meaning they only illuminate in one way. The brake light need to be red dual filament bulbs dual filament; meaning they illuminate in two ways for tail light indication and for brake light illumination. The ones I linked on amazon are only good for your reverse lights. The ones you linked are dual filament but must be RED LED light for fitting as stop&tail
