hi all ivegot a mondeo tdci 2.0 on a o6 plate every time i block the egr valve the engine managment light comes on any ideas what to do ive cleaned the egr and the rial it links too

an 06 will have a euro 4 engine so if you block the electronic egr the e.m light will come on due to lack of air flow, nobody i know has found any way around this so you either live with the light or unblock the egr.

The EGR blanking plate fitted to the EURO4 compliant engine will tend to pet the EML on, but this can be reset with a suitable code reader (eg, F-super/ Bluefin handset) the EML will eventually come on again (sometimes soon, somtimes ages later, depends) this can again be reset

Many Euro4 Ford owners prefer this from having the EGR unblocked
