Hi all

Firstly this is an absolutely brilliant forum i've been looking on here for some months but only just signed up!

Ive had my ford fiesta zetec for a few months however recently the rubber door seal has come off (see picture) although i know the ideal thing is to strip the whole thing off and start again does anyone know of a decent glue that would stick this back on possibly some sort of rubber adhesive? ive tried a number of super glues but this has only been a temp fix so was wondering if anyone else had any ideas

many thanks

Pete

Hello and welcome.

I had a similar issue with a Renault a few years back, contact adhesive was the answer. Might be worth a try.

that would possibly do the job as its more designed for rubber, superglue hardens to a plastic kind of texture (as you will know if you get it anywhere other than where it should have been :p) but the rubber solidifies more malleable, still does the job and firms up, but doesnt become brittle as superglue can.
