zoltann
Hello! I got a Ford focus 2 facelift 1.6 petrol 100cp, and when i put in reverse gear, sometimes it gives a sound like i didnt put in reverse gear correctly? What could the problem be? THanks! itsrelfy
There probably is not a problem. I don't think reverse gear has a synchromesh on it. Try pressing the clutch a couple of times before selecting reverse. Mine use to be the same on my fiesta and when i started to push the pedal a couple of times it was fine. mjt
Also, try waiting a second or two between depessing the clutch and engaging reverse. This will allow the clutch driven plate to stop spinning.

L666JER
Its a trait of most Fords. As said there is no syncro on reverse.
mixmasterlooney
I wouldn't call it a problem though. Make sure the car is not still moving forward before changing to reverse then wait a second or two
