JP1977
Hi, First time post, so please go easy Fan speed on my MK7 Fiesta only works at the highest setting. There is nothing at all on all the lower settings, but as soon as I crank it up to the top position, air is blasted through the car. All routes work fine on the highest fan speed, so direction of airflow not the problem - just seems to be off when set to the lower settings - not even a breeze. The highest setting is noisy and no good for general a/c when out and about - any ideas? I can't see any obvious fuse problems, but then again, not really sure which fuse I should be looking at... Thanks!
mintalkin
it will be the fan resistor pack that needs replacing, it a common problem.
iantt
Yep, as above, is your car still under warranty?
JP1977
Thanks for the replies - not under warranty as far as I know - was bought on HP 2nd hand from a dealer and we're about 2 years in. Now that I know what to look for, I'll research how to replace it and pay a visit to eBay. I've had a quick look online and it looks as though it's going to be in one of the footwells - either above the clutch on driver side or in the right corner of the passenger footwell under the trim. May need to limber up before I attempt to replace it by all accounts and only test it in situ as it apparently gets a bit hot... Thanks again - I'll let you know how I get on.
