Soft top storage

Hi all, new here, got my 06 Streetka at the weekend. Apologies if there is already a thread on this but.....is it ok to store the soft top in the compartment for the winter. The book says don't leave it in there for prolonged periods of time but as this is Ireland it'll be in it for 6/7 months of winter!!!

A soft top is best stored unfolded and warm as this stops the rear window plastic from going brittle and cracking.

A replacement plus fitting can cost £300 plus.

Stoney is right never fold it up its a recipe for disaster.

My streetka rear window is already fogged up a little and it has never been stored its just bad design.

If the rear window cracks you can replace it as it zips out but a new one cheapest i can find is about £70.
