The easiest place to take the MS can is from the heater module. If I remember rightly it's the blue plug.  Pin 18 grey & orange on the heater module goes to pin 16 on the sync module.  P

Yes, USB port and sd card run down the 1 cable. Then you power the hub with the 2 pins cable from the harness. Unless you still want line in to work then you run more than 2 wires from the harness. I took power from thecig lighter socket from the rear passenger facing one.

I reed that pin 38 need to remove from sync 2 or I need live in place and connect another cable for media hub. Sorry too many info 🙂

So, the hub requires a 12v power source in order to make it operational. You could, like the guide, run all the individual wires from the harness to the media hub connector and this would give you power and line in also. Or, you could just run both positive and negative from the the harness and it saves the hassle of feeding a big bundle from the screen to the media hub. Or, like I did, take your 12v power source from the cigarette lighter socket located directly beneath the media hub in the arm test. You’ve got a few options :)

Pin 1 and 8 is simply 12v positive feed and then a negative feed. These two pins only provide power to the hub. The rest of the pins are used for the line in socket from the media hub.

The media hub converts 12v down to 5v :)

Is this an after market camera or the original? Also, what model and year of car?

With mine, I didn’t have a reverse camera and simply used the rca connector that came on this harness I ordered from amazon.

Thanks

So I just conect GPSM module pin 2 and 3 to sync 2 pin 16 and 17? Do I need connect from sync 2 pin 16 and 17 to pin 41 and 40 Module C2280A  BCMi  ??

Can you advise what you are trying to do? Are you upgrading from Sync 1 to 2? Or do you already have Sync 2?

Hi

Yes I upgrade from Sync 1.1 4"  to Sync 2 on Kuga 2014, Yes I have all part from sync 2, I think 🙂

Just read in one Russian forum that I need connect from Sync 2 pins 16,17 to BCM module C2280A pins 40 and 41 MS-CAN+ and MS-CAN-

If the Kuga is like the Focus, you should splice in to the C23B connector in the passenger foot well:

16 VDB06 MS-CAN + GREY-ORANGE Splice from Inline IP Floor (C23B) 8
17 VDB07 MS-CAN - VIOLET-GREY Splice from Inline IP Floor (C23B) 9

Thanks, will try tomorrow:)

Hi

Today half finish installing sync 2. Have some problem about parkings. Have some problems:

1 Have  sound from parkings but no picture 😞 Its possible because not connected reverse camera?

2 DAB no signal 😞 have connect white plug and black. From old screen black and pink  left unused.

What working so fare :

Voice assistant, FM Radio, Usb and sd card,Phone Bluetooth, Aircon control, Sony front buttons.

Did not connect yet MS-CAN to pins 16 and 17

For the DAB you need to plug the black fakra connector that went in to the old screen, in to the new radio (ACM). Do not use the black fakra that used to go in to the old radio. Leave that unplugged. Pink is also unused.

So basically swap the black fakra cables around.

That will get your DAB back 👍

Thanks JPW will do tomorrow.

Any idea about parking sensors on screen? I think I connect tomorrow MS-CAN and see if any changes?

JPW for wat U use ?

ACMPinout.thumb.PNG.c1cd479785a6b95c617bedfab1640dcd.PNG

This means that you might need to swap wires 4 and 5 that currently go in to the radio ACM connector (24-pin) in to wires 6 and 19 of the ACM sync connector (26-pin)

Make sure you do the MS can lines also as they are required.

Have you reprogrammed using Forscan/Focccus also?

James

Yes will do tomorrow MS-CAN.

So 4 and 5 go to ACM sync connector (26-pin) and  6 and 19 of the ACM go to (24-pin)? This is for Sirisu radio?

 Just Focccus:

123 — Audio auxiliary input — 01 — without
125 — DAB Radio System — 01 — without
154 — Module USB — 01 — without
157 — Bluetooth handsfree — 01 — without
172 — Front display — 09 — touch screen DM8 with nav
214 — ICP — 09 — non branded MINI EFP

Hi

Connect to MS CAN but still no parkings on screen 😞

I mean, you need to take out the wire and pin going to #4 the main ACM connector, and reinsert it in to #6 on the SYNC ACM connector. The SYNC ACM connector is the one with less wires in, whereas the main ACM connector has most wires connected.

It is possible that your car already has the wires switched, so if there are no wires in to #4 and #5 of the main ACM then nothing you need to do.

James
