MK6 Fiesta Central Locking

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

Just bought my first car a 2006 MK6 Fiesta and got a couple of questions i'd like to pick your brains with?

The car only came with one standard non-remote like key. It does have central locking installed in the car though so im assuming the remote key has just been lost by a previous owner.

I would like to replace the key with a remote central locking key could anyone recommend me on the process and right key to buy?

I know it needs to operate on a certain frequency and have a certain transponder in it for the immobiliser but apart from that I have no idea ha?

Also when I unlock the car with the standard non remote key the indicators flash yet when I lock the car they dont? Is this normal process with only a standard key and by locking with the door barrel?

Thanks!

Dan
