Mookev
I have a 2016 fiesta 1.0 100 titanium with keyless ignition. How secure are these and should I be taking any precautions?
TomsFocus
Not very secure, although more secure than having keyless entry as well. The extent of precautions really depend on where you live/park, and how desirable the car is. Titanium's are less likely to be stolen than sporty models for example. Some people just disable the OBD port which is easy and a one-time operation (just remember to enable it before servicing). Others fit steering wheel locks or pedal locks every time they park which is a lot of hassle but will prevent a driveaway and hopefully act as a visual deterrent against breaks in's. nashdm2
There is a good vid on youtube which walks through the options to solve. Also, a very long thread on here discussing the same.
lst
It's also worth getting Key signal blocking pouches > https://www.amazon.co.uk/Keyless-Blocker-Blocking-GREHOME-Protector/dp/B07FTC9HYY/
billyboy
I just use a Faraday pouch they work perfectly, they're very cheap and are no trouble to use.
Maani
I have a ghost alarm fitted, this can be costly, however it works wonders as the car wont start without a code. I also use a key signal blocking pouch during the night for a little bit of extra security. 👍
cjay1
Has anybody seen the news recently. Ford have released motion activated key fobs which automatically switch the signal off when no movement is detected for 40 seconds. Maybe something worth looking into.

nashdm2
But that will only stop the "relay" theft, ie, they boost the power of your key inside your house etc. There are still the OBD thefts.......

Comares2001
Except the car has got to be physically broken into which is less likely. On new models eg . Focus Mk4 keyless entry can be disabled if that's a risk factor. Otherwise I just use Faraday bag as do others
