GarethW99
Hi guys, Everytime I fill the car up ... (I always put a full tank in, not £10 here and there. I leave it go down until the light comes on then I fill it back up) ... I always reset the trip computer so the stats like avg mpg, avg speed, round trip etc etc are back to 0. Only a quick question to ask is this a pointless exercise I undertake, or shall I carry on resetting after every refuel? Would like to hear your thoughts and whether you reset it every time, just like myself.

TomsFocus
Depends if you want to know tank averages or lifetime average...? Personally I like to know tank averages so reset mine at each fill as well.
Eric Bloodaxe
I reset every fill up, but the only thing I'm interested in is mileage covered since last fill up, to enable me to calculate accurate mpg.
Paulkp
Being a bit of an anorak.... I reset mine at service/oil change, but do run a spread sheet that gives tank mpg, overall mpg, cost per mile, miles per annum.......et al !
pragmatix
I reset trip 1 in very fill up and let trip 2 run currently trip 1 shows 46.3 mpg over 257 miles whilst trip 2 is showing 47.5 868 miles. Trip2 resets automatically after 1000 miles.
