2017 frod focus 1.5 tdci fail start

Featured Replies

I have i ford focus 1.5tdci st line 2017,and same times ,maybe ones a day or ones every 2 days, wont start.Just a click and NORMAL MODE apears on the dashbord, lights and power all working perfect.

If i take the power off for 5 min,it starts perfect.I went to the local ford dealer, and they sayd it doesnt show anything on the computer,so they dont know whats wrong with it.

Can anyone help ??

My ST2 TDCI does this, albeit much much less now. The dealer misfuelled mine and cause a heap of issues for me, the main starting one was fuel pressure, they haven't changed out he pump but changing the fuel filter had a positive effect on this very problem, still not perfect but mines had a lot going on, it's not uncommon on the TDCI models for the fuel filter to become a little cloggy. One of the easier ones thats worth a check.
