MANDAR
Help ! Au secours ! I live in France. I bought a used 2002 Ford Ranger 2.5TDI from England (with the right hand drive, and I don't care it is OK). Very nice car with only 95K miles I have an absolutely stupid breakdown : The anti-theft system is engaged after the unexpected removal of a loose battery clip. Of course the engine stopped but impossible to restart since. The diagnostic on the instrument cluster is clear: The flashing lights indicate "Invalid key code" (according to a Ford Ranger forum in USA). I also checked the fuel circuit and it is « cut » inside the injection pump. My mechanic removed the finger from the solenoid without any effect. According to my Ford retailer, we need the OBD device to plug in the reader socket. But for this 2002 car from UK, impossible to find that device in France. Could someone help me to find that damned device or give any advice ? It would be very much appreciate !
