Things I do like

I do like buying Guinness Original for a change instead of my usual Draught.  Sometimes I'm not in the mood for the stronger flavour the Original has, but tonight it is just right!

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

They will look excellent,

Some EBC brake pads with slotted&grooved discs and Goodridge brake lines would finish each corner perfectly 👌

Did not think of that kind of set up you know. Will look into this. Maybe some bigger calipers as well

As a Paddy I'm ashamed to say I've never tried the stuff.

I've only ever had Captain Morgan's, jack Daniels, Jameson, Smirnoff, pearno, Jaigermeister, Bulmers, WKD red or blue and Budweiser.

haven't had any alcohol since 31st December, going to have a bottle of captain Morgan's on the Easter weekend as I'm off for a few days,

Been working six day week since Christmas only been off on Sundays.

No unless your adding huge power don't fit bigger calipers because they need bigger discs which will reduce performance by contributing to the level of "unsprung mass"

bigger alloys also contribute but they look good. Much better to upgrade pads and discs for the existing calipers.

brake lines are available in various colours and made to order, different ones for rear discs or rear drums.

Good bit of advice. Will look into it. These alloys plus tyres and the springs and spacers coming to 1500. So will be buying them over time.

If you upgrade your calipers you may also need to fit the correctly sized master cylinder as you will need more pedal effort to stop

Reminds me of the time I bought my Genuine 18" facelift ST alloys from ford i bought two per month after four months I then bought the springs and tyres on the fifth and sixth month, they cost me €475 per rim

Image2665_zpsb0d2f00a.jpg

Image2670_zps6058b81c.jpg

then the lowering was another €690 including Labour 😅

IMG_20130508_201500_zpsb2fbc071.jpg

was all definitely worth it in the end but I'm now back to 16's and sold the genuine alloys on eBay Auction for £300GBP as I'm now trying to spend as little as possible on the car and 16" partially worn tyres can be purchased from my local tyre place two minutes down the road for €35 each which is a saving of €95 per corner compared to replacing each one of the 18's new as there €130 each every 9 months.

I highly recommend Avon ZV7 tyres I've had Avon ZZ3, Avon ZV5 and the latest type is the ZV7 they got better each time and the help is awesome.

after you get it lowerd and fit the bigger wheels you should get the tracking alignent done otherwise the car will eat up your tyres prematurely due to the camber being off especially on the rear tyres, I know as it happened to me in Reality HD 😁

any good tyre place will do laser tracking alignent for half the cost of one of the tyres on your new alloys.

and finally then some coloured nut caps to match your caliper paint would really get things popping on those alloys

No spraying of calipers. Trying to keep it close to stock look as possible only a trained I will know the difference. Yeah I think over time I will not feel the hit compared to one big expenditure.

I haven't had beef olives for a while.  My favourites are the ones with the white pudding/oatmeal mixture stuffing, but I can't seem to find them, only the ones with the sausage meat.

Make your own  Mrs Turvey makes sausage ones for the kids and haggis ones for us.

Good idea!

i do like waking up and finding it's summer like in April:laugh:  It was 20°C on the garage wall as Pipper and I set out for her morning stroll, it then got warmer and sunnier as we progressed:smile:  I gathered rather a lot of pounds (18) and a couple of 20ps, along the takeaway pavement; £18.40, no other coinage was present:smile:

Pipper continues to show no interest, in any food that is not in her bowl. Unlike Brandy, she ignored three partially eaten kebabs, a lonely sausage in a bucket of now limp fries and a semi chewed chicken wing.

I hope we don't get a repeat of 2009 though, where we had a hot summery April, a springlike May, and then from late May onwards: 4 months of late November weather:mellow:

I can't say I'd heard of that before...

I do like having my medication sorted by the doctors which (touch wood) isn't giving me any side effects whatsoever, and is doing what it is supposed to do.

The wikipedia article doesn't make them too appetising, " they are very crumbly and rather like very dry stale bread or rusks in consistency"

Dorset Knobs:

As far as I know, the only real use for them is to hurl at people and objects.laugh.png

Maybe the Durotriges invented them to fend off the Romans! Didn't work though.unsure.pngwink.png
