Things I do like

Featured Replies

I do like it being a beautiful day in Scotland, for a change!  And being off work to enjoy it.  Well, when I say enjoy it I spent the morning out and about but will spend the rest of the day inside watching TV...

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Sitting inside watching the TV can be done in the rain, get in the garden and have a beer in the sun [emoji38] or wash the rover [emoji848]

It's beautiful here too, dog loves the beach he could play all day but with him bing black he overheats so quickly. I'm working until midnight tonight so I can't enjoy any of the sun [emoji53] suppose that bit should be in 'don't like thread' really

I really do like having a chilled Saturday afternoon at a superb back street pub supping Theakstons Old Peculiar and reading the forum on the app.
And on the subject of Lenny s bargain toy buy. I do like to play with the youngest grandsons car track (not scalextric). I could watch the car go round the track for hours lol. It was my suggestion to get it lol.

I do like my tea tonight!  Chicken drumsticks bought from Tesco reduced to £1.50, seasoned with olive oil, mixed herbs and paprika.  With some rice it is a fairly healthy and filling tea.

Mmmmmm looking at that is making me hungry lol.
After getting a text from the wife to buy her a new pair of trainers I found myself needing a pee. Oh to my suprise I've found another back street pub. So I'm having a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale. They've also got Old Speckled Hen on draught and Coors Light which the wife likes (but she's not here ha ha)

No, dinner was at 13:00!  Where I live in Scotland lunch is called "dinner", and dinner is called "tea".

Chicken and rice makes everything nice!

It was wishful thinking that I could keep to just that, and ended up having another serving of rice and three more drumsticks...  Then I wonder why I'm unfit!!

I grew up in border county of Ireland in the countryside my grandmother was from Glasgow but anyways; dinner was 13:00 and supper or tea was around 19:00

My wife grew up in the town close to Dublin city, dinner in her home was 19:00 and since she does the cooking in this house I've gotta take two bowls of wheetabix instead of one at breakfast to keep me going until dinner time 😁

I like having a pee in a mega old fashioned pee pot

I haven't seen anything like that in...  Well, ever!

I do like it being warm enough to sit outside with Mrs Turvey and have our lunch  First time this year, but hopefully not the last

I haven't ventured outside yet, but it looks like it could be the same here!

Same here, had a Disposable BBQ today, fitted two sticks on top of the grooves in the bench to space it away from buring the bench itself and it worked a treat 👍

Pipper and I do like spending a very sunny and warm weekend with a couple of mates, their 5 dogs (3 dobermans, a collie cross and a jack russell) in a cottage on the outskirts of the village of Plush.

Pipper met her first badger, not a solitary badger but a badger family of parents and cubs, who visit my mate's garden every evening just after sunset.  They are actually making for one of the barns in the neighbouring farm, my mate's garden just happens to be a primary route in badger world.  Pipper accepting of all other animal life and wasn't even curious to the grey bodied stripey faced things trotting along the sward. Meanwhile, Bobby the jack russell had remain inside a watch them from the lounge: despite being there since a puppy: he is not badger friendly.

I had very little bed space last night, in addition to Pipper, all the other resident dogs joined us:ohmy:  My mate's had temporarily lost their dog companions! Although they've all been neutered, they were all giving Pipper their undivided attention as she was the only girl. The collie Buddy kept bringing her his balls and squeaky toys in his spaniel wooing attempts   Whilst two of the dobermans slept either side of her with the third resting his head on her rear end!

We too had a barbecue at lunchtime having returned from taking all the dogs for 25 mile stroll around mid Dorset, this morning.

I have breakfast, lunch and tea down here.

But I have mates (also down here) who have breakfast, dinner and tea and for added confusion some who have breakfast. lunch and dinner and yet a handful who have breakfast, lunch and supper!!

I wonder if those legs came from the very bodies that Pipper has in freezer:unsure:

You might have been sharing the same birds as Pipper!

This has been my weekend

Cheers mate, it's the peeling of the tape I don't like doing.. only another 3 months and there'll be another female influence in the house, 3-1 I'm being numbered 4-1 including the dog lol

Just figured out how to use the auto wiper feature on the Lexus. Also took it to the local express wash had it cleaned inside and out and looks and smells much better on and the radio reception is soooooo much better than the focus

I really really do like having a refreshing drive in this morning. The focus was okay but my jeez the Lexus is just fantastic. Minimum wind noise cruise at 70-75 and easy journey. I feel a road trip coming along.

Yup the is250 whips ***** compared to any focus. Glad you're enjoying it.

35-37 mpg average? That's eeefffing damn good. Better than I was getting with my is300h.
