No power

Featured Replies

Having a problem with my 2013 Titanium 2,0tdci. The car has no power. I changed the fuel filter and did notice some air in the fuel. Drove fine on Monday so I thought I had cured the problem. This morning it was worse than ever no power the engine won't rev hardly at all. Anyone got any ideas would it be the fuel pump?

Which make of filter did you use? Was it like this before changing the filter? Did you change aything else?

It was behaving like this before I changed the filter, as I did think there might be some water in the filter. The filter I fitted is a Wix I think. I could see some air in the one small section of clear pipe, but the car starts fine but just will not rev much.

It could be a blocked egr or a boost leak check for any signs of leaks. See If any of this helps although it's 2007 it's probs still the same engine

I've heard off quite a few people that the Wix filters are known for being crap, get a proper Ford filter and see if that makes any difference.

So had another look at my car today as it now won't rev beyond 1500rpm. So we decided to look at the air filter and this is what we found

We got the pipe off the turbo and found it was full of debris. Very difficult to get at as it's at the back of the engine. Will try and clean all the debris out tomorrow.

Never seen such a mess probs best to try vacuum it out,

Well, I'll be sure to recommend checking for mice nests in the intake next time someone complains of a power loss!!

Cleaned out the debris from the turbo today and now the car works fine. Some how I have to stop mice getting in my air filter.😂
