Gracenotes is the program that puts the album cover to your music. it has been going for years and it is frequently updated. If you don't buy  inew albums often, you won't need to update. Ford is aware that you have updated so no need to worry.  Once a new issue comes, just put the stick in as usual.

      Said to wait for key recycle turned car off and locked it restarted again then I got an error so I pulled out usb stick and put it back in again started updating again 1 hour 45 later key recycle agai

    You have to find out for yourself. If Ford says that you are up to date and you are then they have the information they need
