Rossins
Morning Seasons greetings! Sure I'm not the first & won't be the last but didn't pin shut my bonnet. Blew open at 50mph. Luckly didn't smash the screen but now need to find a replacement as bodyshop have advised it is unrepairable. Thanks in advance Simon
unofix
1990 would not be an Escort Mk2 The very last Escort Mk2 was registered in 1980 on a 'W' registration.
Ian Lanc
Most original bonnets are rot dogs, if you've the cash and you want to keep the car looking mint someone makes replacement/replica bonnets, you can't tell the difference, not cheap though at around £400. Eric Bloodaxe
Doesn't seem to be much availability. There are quite a few suppliers of glass fibre or carbon fibre replacements, not seen any steel ones other than a used or new old stock one occasionally popping up on eBay at high prices. Just a thought - MST sell brand new Mk 1s and 2s so must have a source for the body parts, might be worth contacting them. https://mst-cars.com/mk2-fast-road-touring/

Eric Bloodaxe
My curiosity aroused, I found the new bonnet I linked to above is supplied by: https://higginscarbreakers.com/ of Garvagh, NI, who do a range of Mk 2 body parts.
