02 Focus 1.4I Cl Losing Power When I Accelerate But Engine Doesnt Cut Out

Hi, my first post, i have a 1.4 CL 2002 focus recently mainly last 2 days the worst, my car keeps losing power when i accelerate after about 200yrds but the engine doesnt shut off. Then i have to switch engine off for 5-10 mins then limp home.

had a service last sep {2011} soemtimes its worse when i press Hard on gas pedal it shudders to a halt quicker..Any help much appreiated,,,trying to find cure on NET points to a multitude of things...no warning light come and theres no Error Codes...
