iverbigun Posted July 22, 2013 Share Posted July 22, 2013 When painting that type of plastic I would recommend removing the parts yourself and dropping them off early so they can be prepped and primed and left to key correctly for a few days. salsheikh Posted July 23, 2013 Share Posted July 23, 2013 looking good Jay! as others have said, if the bodyshop know what they are doing then you shouldnt have a problem. I did mine myself, sanded each honeycombe down, washed and cleaned eached honeycombe before applying a few layers of primer, then VW Diamond Black and then a few layers lacquer (took 2 days to do this).
