btmaldon
I had all sorts of problems with the injectors and sensors on my wifes old StreetKA. A bottle of Cataclean and an Italian tune up used to clear it. Just give it a good thrashing as I found that whenever the car had been left for a while the injectors and the sensors must have furred up. It always played up when we had been away on holiday. KaLiz
Delboy what is this sensor and how do I find the code? Should the garage be able to do this?
delboy
the sensor plays up sometimes. it mixes the air and fuel & if it goes wrong it will thor the engine management light on here is a piccy of it https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=lambda+sensor+ford+ka&client=firefox-a&hs=XtT&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=6CtGU8jxLsjnOq_tgJAI&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAg&biw=1680&bih=878#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=OTHawNo39w_PyM%253A%3BJ4fTz41kbcMV7M%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.veedoubleu.com%252Fwp-content%252Fuploads%252F2012%252F02%252F001_lambda_sensor_top.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.veedoubleu.com%252Fnon-vw%252Fford-ka%252Flamba-sensor%252F%3B512%3B384 or maybe located here https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=streetka&client=firefox-a&hs=Eqo&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=HjBGU6TKGorsOci5gJgK&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=1680&bih=878#channel=sb&q=streetka+lambada+sensor&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&tbm=isch&facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=fhoXcqrwk0VR3M%253A%3BLniMGE-9e1SXiM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.fk-oc.com%252Fe107_files%252Fpublic%252F1264951256_142_FT19055_lambda_sensor.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.fk-oc.com%252Fe107_plugins%252Fforum%252Fforum_viewtopic.php%253F19055%3B480%3B640 it's a 22mm open sided socket needed to remove it. maybe best to ask a garage to do that you can take car to small local garage for a check and ask them to turn the management light off as it stays on sometimes even if the fault has been sorted as your one maye have been a glitch & is fine. look here for the obd to buy. brilliant tool to have http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111295005462?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 this is what i got it comes with a book with all the codes it generates cheapr than paying a garage to do it if they charge as it can be £50.. +
