StreetKA - window electrics and anti roll bar bushes -

Hi Guys,

Got my StreetKA in March, all in reasonable condition but a lot of things are soon to need replacing (tyres, exhaust, clutch going, brakes none existant, scratch on wheel arch, bonnet respray, new badges)

BUT! the two things that are unavoidable are causing me some problems trying to fix - I need to replace the anti roll bar bushes as I'm getting really annoyed with the clunk after 2 months. Going to do it myself (with the help of a man) to save some pennies but can anyone tell me if there is a repair guide/manual thing for the StreetKA? Want to make the job as easy as possible. And what bushes do I need, are they the same for all KA's?

Second annoying problem is my passenger electric window, won't operate from the drivers side, and will only go down on the passengers controls, not up. The only cure is to stop, get out, lock and unlock the car manually, and after 2 or 3 attempts it will go back up - from the passenger switch.

All and any help or advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

the anti roll bar bushes are the same ones across the range

cost's about £8.00 from fords.

easy job to do

jack up car & remove the wheel

then unrcrew the rear most plastic wheel arch liner & pull away to gain access to the rill bar mounts

2 bolts to remove on the roll bar

may pay to spray the bolts with some wd40 a day or so befor removal

undo the 2 bolts & pull on the rubber then slide in the new ones &

replace it all

the new rubbers are slotted so no need to remove the whole roll bar.

i done a pair on mine a while back & took about 1 hour as they were rusted on & i did not

have a ratchet spanner as that makes it easier to remove the rear most bolt

on the brakes look here for a set

they a quite easy to do

1 hour front 2 & the same for the rear or there abouts

on the window

it sounds like you have a duff switch or bad wireing inbetween the car body & door

look here for the pbrake parts as they are quite cheap

it's where i get all my parts from

if your not sure what the parts are called phone them with your reg & they will sort it over the phone for you
