My Interior Lights

Featured Replies

Hi all,

The interior light and clock in my fiesta keep going out/not working. I read into the problem, and a fuse was mentioned. I checked the fuse and the person before had fitted a 7.5 fuse as opposed to the correct 20, so I replaced the incorrect fuse (which had blown) and everything was fine for a while. However, now the 20 fuse has blown, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to why?

many thanks

You might have a short, take the light out of the roof lining and check the contacts are not able to short out against the metal, you could play safe and put some tape round the contacts. The light fitting might be a bit loose enabling the contacts to short. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

I've checked and they are not touching, I've taped them to be sure though. I've replaced the fuse again, and while the light now works perfectly, the display on the clock is really faint. Any ideas?
