harveycafc
Hello Having taken my windscreen washers off for a bit of a clean, I now have a problem. After replacing, I now have more pressure in the washer closest to the resevoir. Too much fluid is entering the first washer rather than travelling to the second, causing them to be quite different. They were replaced in exactly they same way the came off, pipes and all. Has anyone had a similar problem, and know of any fixes? Thanks in advance, Harvey

troy45
Would it help to disconnect both jets and operate the washers with the open pipes feeding into a bucket or similar - if there's any muck in the system that's too big to pass through the small jets you may get it cleaned out easier this way?
jeebowhite
that would certainly help
Lenny
that would certainly helpI'm beginning to worry, since the author of this topic has not yet returned to discuss the situation I fear he may have contracted legionnaires from the washer fluid system. "Fingers crossed hang in there buddy"

jeebowhite
I am going to die..... Thanks Harvey, thank you very much! On a serious note, if you need help and are local to Ashford or Medway, I may be able to spare a few minutes on the way to or from work, or at lunchtime

jeebowhite
haha, not quite Wicklow, but I am good at moving things around until the blockage magically disappears.... Normally I just kick the offending article and it eventually realises it needs to go or face certain death.
harveycafc
Thanks for the replies haha, I survived... I removed the right angled piece connected to the tube and the jet, and it was indeed broken. But having checked the rest of the tube for blockages and replaced the right angled part, there still is too much pressure in the passenger side, and not enough fluid getting to the driver side. I even removed the right angled piece all together and had the tube going direct to the jet but still, same problem. I shall go and check the pipes again, but there's just not enough fluid getting to the second jet. Cheers
jeebowhite
Could be blocked jet it would seem?
troy45
At any point have you tried swapping the jets left to right and seeing if it's still the drivers side which has less pressure? Or blank off 1 jet and then see how it works?
