Hi there guys I am new to the focus group currently have a mk6 fez I have recently ordered a mk3.5 Focus Ecoboost in titinuam spec what are people's views/options of the Focus with the 1.0l engine what do they drive live in day to day driving thanks

I've had a 1.0 125ps Focus Zetec S for a week now after having a couple of 1.6 petrol Zetecs.

All I can say is that you are in for a very pleasant surprise. It brings a smile to my face every time I drive it, I haven't enjoyed driving so much for many years.

Are you getting the 100 or 125ps engine? I think my 125 1.0 is faster/nippier than my 1.6!

I was concerned before I got it above acceleration etc. but it gives you an extra boost for 30secs if needed.

But it drives great. I keep forgetting it's a one litre under the bonnet.

Personally I don't know. It was recommended that if you regularly used motorways etc. to get the 125 not the 100.

I ordered 10th Sept, gone for Zetec S 1.5 Ecoboost with convenience pack, appearance pack, driver assistance pack, sync 2 navigation, reverse camera and cruise control.

Been spoilt by my current Tit X, but wanted something more sporty so went for Zetec S and specced it up.

Sorry for the late rely phones been playing thanks the replies the new ford 1.5 tdci is a Renualt engine I tried to stay away from that engine

No the 8" sync 2 touchscreen sat nav is extra for all trim levels.

Although Sync 2 is included without nav on titanium and higher.

I'm getting the 1.5 petrol, where did you read that the 1.5 diesel is Renault? From what I have read it is just a downsized DV6

Offers from ford now Focus Titanium and Titanium X qualify for free Ford SYNC2 Navigation.

I am a mechanic by trade the 1.6 tdci is used in Volvos but is a Peugeot engine renault are the only one to make the 1.5 tdci engine mercedes use the 1.5 in there a class but cover up the renault logo on the oil filter housing with black tape and I didn't know about the sat nav being optional I've added it to mine

1.5 tdci is derived from the 1.6 which is a joint PSA and Ford engine.

Renault engines are not the same...

I am just saying mercedes use the renualt engine but do not admit it

I imagine they do, was just saying the one in the new Focus is different :)

Not sure what is happening with my car atm, seems to have sat on Assembly offline for the whole week...

Oh I'm not trying to cause an argument it just assumed it was the same as like I say renault mainly are the only one to make that engine

It's probably still in the ford plant car parking or being shipped to UK
