Its a weird one. It's not like a super mini like it used to but now a crossover. Would be cool if they make a ST version or puma racing

When I was eleven I had a filling in my back top left molar; I remember I could still feel pain after she filled it at the time, so she then drilled through the nerve and filled it again; needless to say she was a buther and hugh "marathon man" fan 😅

Anyway 22 years later I don't like losing a filling around February 2018 from my top rear left tooth; it first started to slide within the tooth like a piston in an engine it would slide down from the tooth and back in again 😂 was sore at the time,

It came down one night and I accidentally snapped it off while waking up one morning,

Still didn't go dentist, hate them that was March 2018

Now October 2019 the outter Shell on the inside has broken down to almost level with my gum, I can fit a whole cotton but head inside the cavity and only the outter side of the tooth remains of which I still have feeling,

Now the outter side of the tooth is decaying and causing alot of pain; my wisdom tooth is coming down next to it which is applying pressure to the destroyed tooth,

Aldo food is getting in there and pressing some nerves which remain,

Suppose I had best just go to the dentist; perhaps get sedated for extraction; I should have looked after my teeth better as a kid too; life long regret

I bet if you looked into the market demographics, it would be something like at least 2/3 or 3/4 of buyers of crossovers/compact SUVs are female...🤨

That's probably right. My Mrs is always saying she likes something just because it's high. Even in the little SEAT Mii she has now, the seat is up to maximum height - when I drive it I feel like I'm sat on a bar stool.

I have a (female) friend - she drives a C-HR... My ex-gf drove a Juke (lol)

Although I have seen a fair few Kuga drivers that are guys... Maybe they're just driving their partner's car...

I'm just bitter that crossover sales ate into sedan/saloon sales and ultimately killed them off 😞

They're just not for me, although I know everyone in suburbia must have one.

Cracks me up that it's supposed to be all about the environment these days so why is everyone buying cars that take more resources to build and use more fuel?

And I agree with Chris Harris, the big ones are simply hateful vehicles.

Thanks very much 😀

What sort of fun are people having outside on a cold, autumnal day?

haha touche!

I'm not much of a homebody, so I don't like staying home too long, it's been 2-3 days since I last had any proper human contact. Although I'm sure some people would love this. 😀

Even when I'm not hanging out with friends I like going on drives just to get away from home haha

Lol, tbf it was a genuine question, I have no idea how to fill weekends at this time of year.

I don't like human contact and don't have any local friends left (drifted apart when I gave up nice cars and I have nothing else to offer... ) but I can't stand staying indoors either so do know where you're coming from!  I still go out most days even if it's just a 10 minute walk around the block.

My 'Don't Like' for today is the hot water tank pressure valve dripping yet again...  Felt like Edgar Allan Poe last night, drip, drip, drip, drip driving me mad...thought it was in my head until I got up and realised what it was...  Anyone else have an unvented system that loses the air bubble every 4-6 weeks?  Surely it shouldn't need resetting so often?  I don't mind doing it but now the tap is getting pretty dodgy to turn the water off by the cylinder...it's one of those flathead quarter turn things but it's so stiff (probably due to internal scale) that more metal flakes come out of the flat slot each time...always worries me that it'll get stuck in the off position! 😮

It's lovely out down here.
Just about to take the dogs out onto Dartmoor for a bit of a run and some light tracking practice.
Not due back to work until wednesday and they're getting up to mischief at home as they're bored.
Also they keep waking up the wife who's sleeping between night shifts so an added incentive to 'bu##er off' or face her wrath.
Just need to collect the works spare transit connect dog van and off we go.
They'll also get the added joy of a good wash'n'dry at the kennels when finished as they're bound to dive into every manky, stinky bog they come across. [emoji21]
I suspect I'll need a good wash'n'dry after too. [emoji848]
A flask of tea, a couple of decent cigars and a lovely view of god's green (& brown) earth sitting on a tor watching three muddy dogs wear themselves out is my true idea of a heavenly day off. [emoji41]

Lol I like to be at home now. Being busy 5 days a week and finishing at 5pm 4 days a week from uni I really feel it on Saturdays. Still like to go hospital as it gives me a chance to drive.

I don't know how I haven't gotten sick yet. So many people sneezing and coughing on the train and uni.

I don't like the extra hours spent on work the last few weeks (some my own fault) and knowing that it's going to keep coming back next week.

I don't like the fat and ugly Fiat 500 that I was sat behind on the way home from work. Who wants a mini type car that happens to then be bigger than a Fiesta?!?!?!

I don't like the ignorant women in the BMW 3 series that raced out from the junction onto the mini roundabout only to proceed to then block the junction. I beeped the horn and got a frantic gesturing of hands and flapping mouth in return!! Idiots, there everywhere!!

I don't like playing Russian roulette with farts (I'll leave that one there 😂).

Lastly, and linked to the one above, I don't like finding out that I had a Wish.com account created using my email address. Had a few emails in the SPAM folder that were in Russian and were from Wish.com. I confirmed this by going directly to the website (not via any email links) and using the Password Reset process. Took me a few minutes to find the language settings within the account profile but subsequently changed the language to English, secured the account with a strong password I don't use anywhere else, then deactivated the account after sending off an email to Support. Account had a load of odd details (Russian language, Nepal address, jumbled name) but no payment information so hopefully it's nothing more that getting the account deleted.

Shopping, hiking, road-tripping, going to pubs/bars. Hell even going to Ikea is more interesting than staying home 😂

Fair enough, nothing wrong with being an introvert! I totally agree with you on the walks, it refreshes your mind, and if you're too lazy to walk well then there's the car 😎

I really need to enjoy the simple pleasures in life more I think! Tobacco and caffiene...

But seriously, I hope your afternoon went as well as you planned!

You've probably built up a good immune system for all your volunteering at that virus cultivation centre...

We don't have an IKEA here, I've never been to one! 😮

Shopping and driving cost too much (as in more than free lol).  I don't drink so pubs are a bit pointless.  And we don't have any mountains to hike in Suffolk...just a brief, slight incline here and there.

There's loads wrong with being an introvert when you don't want to be one. I think you've outlined the issue there though, it's me that's the problem (plus a lack of funds) rather than a shortage of options! :whistling:

You're definitely right about the driving costing too much - although your Golf probably does a mile on a penny of diesel 😄

Since you're home a lot - have you thought about freelancing/starting your own business for some cash? There's loads of jobs you can do from home nowadays - you can setup an eBay shop (buy in bulk from China and sell on UK marketplaces at a mark-up), create websites, create a YouTube channel, do software development etc.

About the pub - it's not about the drinking - I don't drink much myself, many a times have I had apple juice or a lemonade, it's more about the socialising... Also, nobody can shoot down the excuse "I'm driving"

Lol, I wish the Golf was that cheap to run!!  It's about 11p per mile now.

A job from home would be good but I haven't found one that fits my...errrr...unique situation yet lol.  I rent a tiny studio flat so have no space for selling on, but also not allowed to run a business anyway.  I did try a few home based businesses but I'm a sheep, not s shepherd, I was useless at directing myself in business.

I do have a couple of YouTube channels but have run out of things to make videos about lol.  Again that's something I could get back into if I ever get another 'nice' car.  YouTube make it hard to earn money for low level uploaders now though.

I never learnt coding or any software type stuff...I think you may have learnt it in school if you're a couple of years younger but I completely missed out on that.

I can't actually drink at all at a pub with my OCD, so that makes pubs a bit awkward lol.  That is the socialising I could really do with though... particularly music nights or quiz nights.

Many people run businesses from their home - wink wink

I took A level computing - but I was rubbish at it, and didn't learn how to properly code until uni. And even at uni, I didn't learn it from lecturers or in class - I learned it myself with loads and loads of practice (I'm a slow learner). The internet and youtube are full of tutorials, anyone can learn to code 🙂

There are some very good computing jobs I saw. Pharma companies have really good salaries for technicians in software. Seeing it from £100k.

@Zico I'm seeing a pattern here with you and fiat 500 drivers driven by a woman 😂. I see too many BMW drivers driving badly. I am beginning to consider posting my dash cam clips to the met as they have been dealing with bad driving with little no further actions taken which is really good.

One of my old car mates went straight into a software job with one of the biggest tech companies when he left Uni...I don't think he's on £100k lol, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's on about £50k a year now!  He has so much disposable income, but almost no time to use it.  I chose the wrong path to follow through college lol   Although saying that, if I'd actually completed the electrical stuff I could've been a top electrician by now on £40k+...  As usual, it was my health issues that stopped me getting any further than college, didn't even get a proper qualification as I needed to complete part of that through an apprenticeship.

Probably just lost a wheel weight from that new tyre unless you've been crashing into kerbs again lol!  Or it may be tyre flat spots from the car not being used during the week.
