  • Photo's will be good enough, but be sure to have as many as possible ^_^ (create a guide, that's "idiot" proof) :D

  • Any photos of this set up please? As me being a fan of Trance/Funky House... I do like some base. But dislike the rattling door cards! :D I used to have a JBL sub/amp installed in the boot of my pr

3a for remote.....Btw you will find where I ground it too when guide is ready :p

Talk about teasing... ;)

Right, so I could do with getting the following:

Piggies

Mini fuses

Velcro tape (2 x 2m)

£8.50 roughly all in. I already have various bits and bobs for crimping / soldering / splitting wires and cables and my car trim removal tools just need returning from my friend. That's everything, yes?

If you're not in a rush to get your bits n' pieces. Mini piggy back £0.99 for 1, or buy 2 and save 5% ... £1.88 for 2.

Hmm, I'll probably be ordering within the next week, otherwise I would. An extra £1.80 isn't the end of the world, though I have been happy with the prices of some items that have arrived from very far away!

The subwoofer has been bought, gentlemen!

Right guys wee update took all pics tonight needed and rest will be written up tomorrow :)

Glad to hear it mate! My subwoofer arrived today, along with the piggies. I've also got the bullet connectors ready for use in the speaker wire and attached the bullet connectors to the piggyback fuses and the power / remote wires. Trim removal tools were returned to me today too, so I'm ready to go as of tomorrow, I believe!

Whoops. Just realised I've ran out of bullet connectors. Checked my storage box and only have space connectors & butt connectors.

But Amazon to the rescue!

And Halfords do too. I managed to get 19.7% off with my discount card :P

I try to avoid HalFRAUDS where possible. Haven't had the best of service with them, especially at their Halfords Autocentre branch(es)

I only wanted some bullet connectors, so my experience was pleasant enough. I've never used their Auto centres, I rely on a private mechanic :)

What you think so far????

Can't wait to crack on with mine... I'm just waiting for the piggybacks!!

Guess who has a working subwoofer in their car, gentlemen! Thank you for the guide and being the guinea pig; both helped tremendously! I forgot to note down the fuses I used in my MK7, but I'll look tomorrow or Monday for you, mate, so you can add that as an additional note.

The subwoofer sounds nice anyway, not mind blowing bass and my doors no longer have to vibrate like crazy when my volume is raised above 10! I also managed to squeeze the sub in JUST under my seat, rather than the passenger seat. I'd rather feel the bass than my passengers!

All in all, I'm very satisfied and pleased it was cheaper than going through the official Ford Accessories route!

Dam it! Looks like I'm the last one to Install.. ahh well. Nevermind ☺

That serves you right for finding it cheap on Gumtree ;)

Honestly though, it's worth the wait and the time spent installing it. More bass than previously, but not like a boom boom in the boot and it takes the bass off the door speakers. I think you'll be happy with it :)

I can't bleeding wait to get my mitts on it!!
