Have you tried Esure? I pay £196

37yrs old

2012 Focus Zetec S 1.6 180bhp.

15yrs NCB but most places cap it at 9yrs anyway.

It was a choice between Esure and Tesco 2 years ago, Elephant who I was with, wanted twice as much,

I got advice about Esure from friends and it was a love/hate thing and I'd read bad reviews,

In the end the prices shifted and Tesco was the cheapest and my most preferred anyway (I have Mobile/Phone/Broadband with Tesco).

I'll be paying more for living in a non-desirable area and parking on the road, I've accepted my insurance won't ever be cheap.

Everybody wanted over £800 on my old Escort, that wasn't even worth anything, that will be down to the old security on the car.

I expect my renewal notice to hit the mat next week, a month out from the start date,

I saved over £50 last year because the prices changed so much in that month,

I wasn't going to pay an old price when I could just cancel it and start it again,

no issues at all, I phoned them and they reduced it and I added on my NCB Protection.

Age: 27

Car: Focus mk2.5, 1.8l petrol

Mods: Parking sensors, DRL's, Towbar

Premium: £470 ish

Cashback: £70

Other notes: Fully comp, 3 years NCB (at fault accident in 2012), Business use, no other drivers (Dad has too many points!!)

Company: Esure

My premium last year was about £630. Plus the admin fees and premium increases for the mods/business added - about £750. The renewal came in at £630! Quite shocked at that!! My early quotes were still coming in at £7-800.

Not planning to just yet, but when I do I'll declare them

Only mod so far is the standard backbox needed to be replaced, so replaced it for a piece of straight pipe for about £25 cheaper :D

They are already scamming me for £2100 a year so a axle back pipe won't hurt lol

I can't actually remember [emoji15]. I got my first year as a gift so I didn't arrange it. I'll probably remember in the morning! Haha

Edit; I'm insured with privelege. I just got a £30 refund for adding the girlfriend as a named driver! She only passed her test today!

Have you got any other mods? If so what have you put them down as? I'm with AXA, price is good but they've been funny about somethings so I've got cupboards full of stuff that I've not put on.

AXA refused to quote me for a 1.0 zetec S, whilst direct line gave me £1500 for myself and the girlfriend :(
