Your Insurance Annual?

Featured Replies

Aged 26 driving a  2015 Focus ZS (65) - No Mods

Annual Premium: £2360 (£350 vol excess) 2 non fault claims, 1 claim for malicious damage (supposedly my fault) and 1 genuine fault claim.

0 NCB as previously named driver/company car with 8 years driving experience.

Cover: Fully comprehensive with business use, 12 month telematics box, breakdown and hire car (not the pointless 1.0l courtesy cars)

Cheapest online comparison quotes were a couple of hundred pounds more, which didn't include the extras and with a compulsory excess of a staggering £3000 - more than my annual premium!!

  • Dear Lord, I can't believe the money some of you 'kids' are paying for insurance.... Also can't believe the types of cars some of you 'kids' are driving.... I'll update this when I remember how much

  • Look at it this way the more youngsters pay the thieving insurance companies the less we have to pay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

40 year old male driving a 2008 Fiesta 1.4 TDCI Blue Edition, 9+ years NCD.

Cheapest I found was £290 fully comp.

Before the Fiesta I has a 2003 Vectra 2.2 DTI, has a renewal price of £200 fully comp.

Focus 13 Plate ST-2

Fully Comp - £675 (Privilege)

My old car (Suzuki Swift Sport 08' 1.6l) was £440, not too shabby for a 2.0l at 21 then?

Age: 25

Car: Focus MK3 1.6 Titanium

£900 odd per year

Got a quote for a MK2.5 ST at £700 odd

Sent from the pub with a pint in the other hand.

It's incredible really... a 21yr old floating around in an ST paying 675 and I got quoted 400 for my 2007 1.6 tdci estate at 27 years old with full ncb...

Granted I know that areas, places to park, etc etc can have a big effect on quotes, but that's blooming ridiculous.

And Kiefer up there, getting ruined with a 'plain ol 1.6', yet could jump in a vastly more responsive machine - which I'm sure have a history of being pushed to their limits, and he gets a lower quote...

I seriously dislike insurance companies...

Just actually had a quote renewal with hastings. £74 a month they sent me. I phoned them up and said they must be mad. I'm only paying £47.50 right now. They said we haven't got that we want £84 a month. They were told where to go and now got a new policy waiting and cost me £453.12 :)

Got my renewal from Hastings £636 and other online quotes around £380-480 before declaring mods. Got a quote from Adrian Flux for £397 fully comp, business insurance, all mods declared and all the extras :) limited mileage policy however

59 year old full no claims. Changed from a late Mk1 Focus last. Sept to atNov 14 registered, facelifted Focus Titanium X.

Was about £220 for the old car, went up less than £10 more for the new one. Well impressed, insured through Academy insurance, been with them a few years now.

A mate tried them recently and they halved what he was quoted by direct line for his Galaxy.

Age: 23

Insurer: Adrian Flux (they were the broker can't remember the actually insurer)

Price: £840

Car: Fiesta Zetec black Edition (140bhp)

They have covered me to modify the car up to 170bhp and alot of other bits which I think is a great price with 2yrs ncb

Jesus, insurance is cheap outside the London postcodes!

30 years old.

Hastings Premier (with home start breakdown cover and a couple of other bits).

2015 Titanium X 1.0 EcoBoost 123.

£530.00 with 9 years NCD, no points and 2 claims (one fault, one non).

My mate lives in Kingston on Thames and his quote from Direct Line, for his Galaxy was halved with Academy. Try shopping around.

I'm just a couple of miles from there and Hastings were the cheapest. I have found Direct Line to be a waste of time too.

At least it should be a bit less next time as I will have Ford's 2 years of breakdown cover! :)
