Hello

I have a 2008 ford focus 1.5 diesel last year I had to have a new engine put it cause I bought a dodgy car, less than 10 months later and the engine malfunction light has come on but when Ive tried the dashboard trick that has been mentioned on some of the other forums there are no codes. Anyone got any ideas what the problem could be

Thanks in advance

It could be loads of things.  You need the fault codes read properly, dash test isn't great tbh.

If you've got a laptop or smart phone, get an ELM cable or bluetooth dongle and read the codes using FORScan.

Hmm, ok that's odd!  Could be a cluster fault.
