Parking sensors gone quiet

As the title - the beeps have suddenly gone so quiet I can hardly hear them!  Any ideas what to check?

Can you control the beeps level with the volume up and down when they are going off?

I know you can obviously change the prompt volume from the Sat nav and audio as they are saying something...

Check your fuse! Do your reverse lights work?

Cheers, I'll check the lights/fuse. Not sure about the vol control - I'll check.

Rev lights OK, vol control doesn't do anything.

Where is the beeper - just in case it's got a birds nest on it or summat :)

Are yours an aftermarket addon? If so, generally they'll be near the back if there is no display. The big rear loom appears to be on the passenger side of the boot behind the trim. Alternatively - turn your ignition to pos II (engine not running), put car in reverse, and follow the (quiet) beeps.

Pretty sure they're oem. But I could be wrong! No visual aid though. I'll take the trim of when the Olympic cycling's finished or I need a stretch  :)

Sounds like it's behind the driver's side rear seat side trim. Haynes doesn't say how to remove it for the CC so will see what happens

your right, behind the o/s rear quarter panel trim , its above the audio speaker

Cheers - no need to remove the seat then? Just work out how the trim comes off?

oh yes you need to remove seat base and seat backs, trim behind seats , lower trims etc

Bugger! How do the seats come off?  They're bolted on somehow.

And Google has failed dismally :)
