Engine replacement

Hi, I've had a Ford Fiesta 1L turbo for 2 years. Recently my car stopped working. Took it to a Ford garage close to me and they said my tensioner went and it blew the valves. I got a new engine replacement. However I'm not stuck in a situation where my warranty runs out next month and I don't want the car back due to such short warranty on the engine now. And they have refused to give me longer warranty on the engine they've put in. What are my rights? Do I have to register the car to the DVLA in regards to my new engine? I'm worried as the past 2 years I've had problems with it and the trust Ford garage in Potters Bar have turned me away saying my car is fine. Now this has happened it's made me worry 100x more. Help please!
