xri rally car upgrade

hi all,

im new to this forum, i have a 1991 xr2i 1.6 8v cvh, its a rally car as im competing in the asphalt rally series in 2010, ivegot stuck with the brakes ive heard u can change them 2 4 pot cossie one but they have to be 2wd? do they just fit on as normal, do i need the cossie hub, when i come to buyin iscs and pads to i buy siera cossie dicsc and pads or xr2i , i really need some help with ehat to fit and how to fit please help asap !! oh and merry xmas to every1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cool thanks very much, more work is starting on hecar on the2nd of jan so will stat u loading pics from start to finish, will also upload stuff from the rallys im march onwards when it starts !!!

find out if the fitment on the mk3 is same as mk4 for the front brakes...coz me bud got set of front cosworth brakes for sale with discs and pads that are on his mk4 fiesta!

160 notes.

will need 16" wheels tho...15"s are VERY tight squeeze!

thats no to bad which cossie are they off, do u mean he has the calipers aswell, im wanting to no though when u need to buy pads and discs do u have to buy fiesta 1's or cossie 1's what about the hub aswell and im changing ther flexi brake pipes do u buy cossie or fiesta or are they the same

comes with callipers and mounts and pads n discs...he got the model they came off for pads/discs in future!

will find out which cossie tho for you...no need for hub change tho...and pipes fit the same I believe!

Saff cossy I THINK...but will confirm asap for you! :)

they are standard escort cosworth front brakes, they will fit your mk3 with the adaptions for fitting his mk4 :)

hi mate thats great so they are sierra 2wd cossie calipers, do u buy discs and pads for the cossie, and braided pipes for the fiesta then, and do the just fit straight on, thanks very much for your help mate also what condition arehis brakes in thanks mate

hi mate also u mention they will fitmy mark 3 with adaptions, which adaptions are these and ive heard that i need siera 2wd, as the 4wd calipers dnt fit wright ?????

with the couple spacers he has already, they will fit straight on, very good condition I would say to be honest, don't think they have braided hoses, but he certainly has the hoses that will come with the calipers!!

but same fitment on the end I assume, so shouldnt be any problems getting braided :)

where abouts are you located?

even if you cant find braided hoses i know of a company who make them to order and they aint any dearer than ones they keep in stock. obviously price depends on length and end fitting types.

i used to have a business card with details and website on, will try hunt it out. i suspect you wont have any problems though
