Graeme Smurf
Hello all. Its got to be said, I'm madly in love with my squeeze green 59 Fiesta Zetec. And I talk about it so much, my nearly 17 year old son wants to join the fiesta band wagon. Now I'm not complaining, its great, but I need your advice. We've been looking at a 2000 Mk 5 Zetec-S. I know this will be very expensive on insurance but he said that if I buy the car then he will pay for insurance, and I will make sure on it. The body work is in excellent condition, and has recently been resprayed at a local bodyshop. Is there any questions in particular I should ask the seller? is there any know problems with mk 5 ZS'? Many regards, and look forward to your replies =D
Michael P
I think you mean the Mk5 Zetec-S, if you're talking about the 1.6 version. To be honest, i think the insurance would be way, way too high for a 17 year old to be justifiable! I'd start him off on something like mine, Mk4 or Mk5 1.25, perfect little starter car, and if you hunt around then insurance can be "cheaper", i'm paying £1650 third party, fire and theft. Graeme Smurf
Thanks Michael, this will sound strange but where we live, and the fact that we have farm insurance, we can put the car on there and he has been quoted £2,100, third party fire and theft. And it would be £2,700 for fully comp. Regards
