hi there, im new to this forum and hope some one can help.I have a ford fiesta 1.1 which i used for a year, it has been sat still for a year and now i cant start it. i have spark but the fuel is being starved some where, i have put a new filter on and still no joy. the car had no fuel in when i parked it up so all the fuel is fresh in the tank, can any one suggest anything else to try? this has become a challenge for me and i will not let it beat me, the battery is fully charged the ford is fiesta 1.1 on a (n) reg 1995. car used to run and start fine...im puzzled.

hi reded, the fuel in the tank is fresh however in the fuel lines it may have sat for a year and gone to jelly. are you getting wet plugs when attempting to start continuosly or not?. i dont know what your engine fuel system is designed like is it injection or carburettor, fuel pump electric or mechanically driven. if your plugs are dry, try bleeding, flushing clean fuel to the engine, check your pump is drawing delivering fuel through the delivery lines .
