xantax73
Hi new member here after a little advice/guidance. My car is a 1999 S plate 1.8 petrol manual, owned for a week or so now, when cold the car cuts out regularly until engine is warm, I am assuming that the idle control valve is at fault here or possibly a faulty temperature sensor misreading the engine condition, does this sound right? I am replacing the idle control valve on Wednesday anyway. Also another the odd thing is that whilst the engine is cold and cutting out the speedo does not work at all, but when the engine gets to normal temperature the speedo works as it should. Is there anyway in which the two faults could be connected?
