Not really too sure what the question is? Did the valves get bent when the head gasket went? If the cam belt had failed then I can understand bent valves.

I bent a couple of valves when the Cam belt broke on my old XR3, no piston damage. (I was only doing 20mph in 3rd at the time) I removed the head, changed the valves and the engine went on to do another 40K.

If the head gasket has gone, I would get the head checked to make sure its not warped. Don't forget to use new bolts.

If you can post with a little more info then maybe myself or somebody else can provide additional help.
