Broxson
Hi all quick question I heard from a mechanic the other day was wondering if it's true I have a 2007 focus sport that doesn't have an ESP switch but there is wiring in the back of the blank where it is meant to go he said usoally they build it and if it's not In the spec they Just don't put a switch on so if I buy one and fit it would It work ? Cheers
Stoney871
I'm pretty sure you need the ESP sensors. The ESP button is only to deactivate the system not to activate it. I know for a fact that the sport does have the wiring in place plugged into the switch panel but no ESP light on the dash at start up. DJ_Andy_M
Isn't ESP controlled from the dash board menus? It is on the MK2.5 Focus.
Stoney871
Maybe on the Mk2.5 but definitely not on the Mk2 (my build level anyway)
Preee
The wiring , maybe there but it terminate's on connector s111 by N/S door below the glovebox , this wire needs to be connected to the Main under bonnet fused ABS fuse and can be done , but is not a straight forward job.
