Well, i undid all 4 nus and removed the handbrake trim/cover and the gearstick trim/cover but could not remove the centre console from its position. I moved it forwards/backwards but could not get it to come out so that i could replace it with an armrest version?

any ideas please?

oh, to note - on the armrest version there is a plug to power the cig lighters but no plug on my centre console trim. how do i connect this up?

That plug is for the the 12v plug under the arm rest and the aux if you have that under the arm rest. Are you fitting a mk2.5 console to a mk2 or something?

I believe that plug also carries the aux and usb feeds.

Might show up on Microcat.

There are two bolts on the front and two at the back and you have to unclip the footwell panels and take the handbrake surround off aswell, then it's abit fiddly trying to get it to go past the handbrake.
