B13
I'm can't complain about a mild Winter, I loathe the cold. However, mild Winter = more wasps in the Summer. Eek!! :(
Philf1
Wasps-what really is the point?
b1g_dav3
Wasps-what really is the point? They're an important pollinator actually, they also keep some pest insects at bay too, although they largely eat nectar.
B13
Very pretty creatures up to the point where they get stuck under the straps of yer cycle helmet and sting you on the top of your ear. I now know that it feels like to have a staple gun fired into delicate cartilige... Ye gods, that hurt for DAYS!!!!! (If you ever want free entertainment, put a wasp near me: I scream like a girl (...well, I would!!) flap, flap some more and then make a hasty beeline (har har) for the nearest place of safety (inside the pub) smashing through tables as I go, still screaming and flapping...) jeebowhite
I cant stand wasps. I find they are useless! I was stung 7 times in the head by one of these sods/ If it was a bee, I could take satisfaction in knowing it stings once, then its off to the beehive in the sky, but no, wasps sting, and sting and sting, and then wander off like nothing happened! little sods! As for the weather, its just been too wet for the snow and ice, I recon later in winter / early spring is when we will probably see any snow! The Dark Knight
The mild theme continues. Yes it is colder than recently with Thursday forecast to be rather cold but still a very mild winter and yet more rain on the way. The national papers really ought to stop quoting these so called experts who predicted snowmageddon this winter and quote me instead. I had this winter nailed months back B) Though I do wish we had loads of snow

The Dark Knight
Well now, the meteorological winter has it's final day on Friday and notwithstanding the slight exaggeration of "T-Shirt weather" (although some days it may have been for some), I have nailed this winter from my forecast back in October. I really ought to have been paid for this. I will forecast next winter around late October again and on this winters evidence, I am a reliable forecaster :D Even though I prefer lots of snow

The Dark Knight
Well, it is too early at the moment for me to give my final views but I will mention April. Apparently, whenever we have full on mild winters with little or no snow, April tends to be cold. Could April showers be snow rather than rain?... I would take a guess off the top of my head that it will be a mixed bag really. 2012 was monsoon summer, 2013 was barbecue summer, so I think a traditional British mixed bag summer might be in order but not sure yet. To be honest, when it comes to late August and early September, I really don't care as I am off to Vegas and California for 2 weeks :P :D
