Dealer Service - Oil

I have just got an 09 fiesta 1.4 petrol and would like to keep up its full service history to keep its resale value up. On my previous fords I have serviced them myself and always used Mobil 1 oils, I believe they are one of the best. I work with race cars some of which use ford duratec engines, although somewhat modified and in those we swear by Mobil 1.

I presume ford garages use motorcraft or a budget Castrol oil when they do a service, are there any oil boffins on here who have an opinion on these oils possibly compared to Mobil 1 (super 3000 x1 or esp formula)? Is it possible to provide your own oil when you get your car serviced? All I want is the stamp in my book  but I like to know my cars got all the best fluids and filters available which is why I normally do it myself.

As long as the service is done it doesn't matter where you take it. Independent or ford garage stamp is all the same. Independent garages would do a better job at lower cost anyway and you can provide your own service items.

Use SAE 5W-30, Ford Formula E or to Ford spec' WSS-M2C-913-B, or the current Formula F or Ford spec' WSS-M2C-913-C.
