Birch_RB
Hi everyone, I am looking at buying a Ford Focus, i previously owned a 60 plate Zetec Petrol but the tax was nearly £200 per year and my average MPG was 37. I loved the car but i am looking for something in a lower tax bracket and higher MPG, can anyone help? I have been told to avoid 1.6 Diesels as they have loads of problems…. Is this true? Any advice would be fab, thank you. Rebecca
stuartr26
I've got a 13 plate Focus which I got from new last year. It's a 1.0 ecoboost 125ps. It's got plenty of power and returns between 40-45mpg mainly on B roads and around town. Tax is only £30 a year but I think it is only £20 on the 100ps. Can't fault the car so far and I've had it for 11 months and done around 8500 miles I think.
Luke23 tdci
I've got a 1.6 tdci titanium 09 £30 a year tax Around town will sit around 50 mpg. Any longer journey and it will head up towards 65/75 mpg on a quiet motorway. Mostly see 65 ish.
